For those pets who don't love the car, housecall medicine can be an excellent option to provide comfortable care in the home. Dr. Allie will travel to your home, listen carefully to all your concerns, perform a comprehensive physical exam, and develop a treatment plan to provide the best possible medicine, all within the comfort of your home.
How it Works
Dr. Allie travels with the ability to examine, perform diagnostic tests (draw blood, test tear production, test corneas for ulcers, measure blood pressure, skin scrape, perform cytology of lumps & bumps), and vaccinate.
We pack up the van with preventative medicine prescriptions, including heartworm prevention, flea & tick preventatives, deworming, and microchips.
If additional medications are needed, we can plan ahead and pack them for you, or call back to the clinic to have them ready for you to pick up the same day at your convenience.
All prices are the same as in-clinic services, with the addition of a housecall and travel fee per visit.
Housecall Fee: $60
Travel Fee: $15 per 10 minute travel from Crossroads Animal Hospital
Due to very limited availability, we ask for a $50 deposit for all housecalls. This will be applied to your invoice and is fully refundable if 48 hours notice is given for all cancellations.
Licensing regulations require all pets to be examined prior to administering veterinary treatments or medical guidance. Each pet examined will incur a doctor's exam fee.
A Note to Home Vet Care Clients
To all of my dear pet parents that I've had the pleasure to meet while operating Home Vet Care from 2017-2021, thank you for trusting me with the care of your pets and making this journey possible.
I want to apologize if changes in our service area or prices have limited our ability to care for your pets in your home as we transition to include a full service clinic.
I am grateful for the schedule flexibility that Home Vet Care was able to provide me while my children were babies, but the work load was not sustainable, nor did I feel I was providing sufficient care to your pets without the ability to take x-rays, operate, or perform dentals.
On the plus side, I am excited to have my car back, my garage back, my coat closet back, and all the other million places that supplies ended up stored in my house.
And, although I loved you all stopping by, I'm sure my neighbors are grateful to not have medication pickups on my front steps anymore.
I would hope that you accept this transition with grace and gentleness, as I had to make the hard decision to cut back on services and increase prices in order to make the new business operation viable.
